There is doubling on the obverse and what looks like some kind of die problem on the reverse, but I am not sure. It doesn't look like any die chips I have seen?

Thank for the help!

It's a Very Late Die State coin. The that struck your coin was in a Very Late Die State, when it struck your coin.

Thanks, I wanted to make sure. Why is a coin not an error coin if the die has become so warn and produces mistakes during the process. Like die cracks, clashes and ext:

Because of the number of them struck. The best coins are the first 25% struck. The last 75% are the ones that start showing a lot of die wear. The last 50% can look like your coin when the dies really start showing their age. They are very easy to find, thus like sand and gold, the more abundant something is, the less valuable it is.

On Nickels, the die wears out faster, because of the Nickel's composition.
