I am thinking of getting one. I don't have any preious metal coins in my collection and I love the design. Now let's just see if I actually pull the trigger or not.

Looks like the bullion dealers expect this to be a HOT offering with a quick sellout I got an email from one with a purchase offer of $1487.50 (+$100) if I register my purchase with them by providing a copy of a mint sales order receipt by midnight tomorrow The household limit of 1 is killing them

Last year's being only MS strike (no proofs) it was not available directly from the Mint -- only through authorized resellers.

Quote: Last year's being only MS strike (no proofs) it was not available directly from the Mint -- only through authorized resellers. The Mint sold to the resellers at the LBMA Palladium Price (PM) on the business date following the day of the order + 6.25% (which I believe should have been around $975). Last year, the entire mintage of 15,000 sold on the first day of orders. 2017 raw coins are currently available on ebay for around $1,750 (but I did see one as low as $1,569). With only numismatic sales this year and the household limit of 1, the bullion dealers have to scramble to get the coins. Hence, the offer to essentially pay folks $100 to order one for them

BadDog has it correct. Here's the thread with the pricing at the time, 9/19/2017: http://goccf.com/t/296507Quote:There are a couple of dealers on ebay already. One is asking about $1500, the other wants about $1085 (but that one has a feedback history of canceling orders and raising prices). For future reference, the current market "ask" is $914, and a 6.5% markup would be just under $975.

Funny that there's already pre-sales on ebay. There's no guarantee the sellers will be able to even get one. There's even one selling as graded at PF 70 from PCGS. How is this possible?

Quote:Funny that there's already pre-sales on ebay. Not really. It's pretty much normal. ebay even has a policy about presales. Quote: There's no guarantee the sellers will be able to even get one. Correct. The seller is taking the risk of receiving negative feedback if they have to cancel the sale. Usually, the seller will have only a limited number of presale items available to try and mitigate this somewhat. Quote: There's even one selling as graded at PF 70 from PCGS. The seller is taking the additional risk of getting a 70 grade. The folks who conduct these presales believe that the potential profit outweighs the risk of negative feedback.

Got an email from another dealer offering $225 (shipping to them not included). Gee, they really think this will be a hot coin.

Success!
USM web site moved a bit sluggishly for me - must be a good number of folks on the site attempting to place orders.
