Poll Question
Goes on sale 10/18. No coin in it that is not available as an unlimited item elsewhere from the mint. But what to you think?

Flop. The only thing "limited" about it is the packaging.

I can't come up with a single reason why it would not be a flop

Its a hit! at least I hope it is as at 12:00.17 I hit enter and confirm on my household limit of 2 sets. $296.00 for 5 ounces of silver and two fancy boxes. I'm hoping mine are both missing all the mintmarks Then again maybe a doubled die or speared eagle? Something anything to make it a worthwhile buy. Problem is if I open them I knock $20.00 off any meager resale value. Hmmmm I'm going to open them anyways will let everyone know what they look like.

This 2018 LESPS is in My opinion, Another set with a Mintage of 50,000 and while I am all over the map on Collecting, These are a unique set, I gladly ordered a few, I love the idea of an ASE in a Silver proof Set. I have been collecting Proof and Mint sets for decades, I have Almost Every set minted... WHY, Because I like the History involved too................. PS, Decide to collect whatever You like, and do so with the same passion You would do Anything else, Enjoy the hunt.......

I think you're confusing "mintage" and "product limit", but yeah, totally agree... collect what makes you happy. And even tho I won't be getting one this year, I do have a couple of LESPS from years past and do enjoy them for what they are. As I've said in other topics, I only bought the 2017 LESPS for the S mint ASE since I missed the 2017 Congrats set.

Quote: Hasn't it been a hit in past years? Th 2017 LE set was decent because of the S Mint ASE which WAS a limited mintage coin..but...even that one sells for less than issue price now like all the others

I ordered 2 sets. My grandson will make $ on them when he is my age! LOL... I just like the look of the sets.

Received my two sets Monday from the Mint. Their exceptionally attractive in the storage cases provided. I'm very satisfied with the coins inside their all near perfect and placed in a way that is down right gorgeous. Looks to me alot of human effort went into producing these sets. I'm keeping mine and am actually pleased as punch. No missing mintmarks or doubled dies everything is normal.

Quote: My grandson will make $ on them when he is my age! Don't count on it. I have hundreds of proofs sets I bought directly from the mint decades ago, and I would be lucky to get 50 cents on the dollar (if I could get rid of them). But, if you enjoy the hobby, that is what counts.

But for the grandson, fifty cents on the dollar for something that was given to him is still a profit.
