well there are a few house that are still occupied but the places where the businesses were have been torn down. Not much exciting but the fellow that invited me showed me his finds after the hunt at the house we had permission for. It's a farm house and a lot of farm house trash. I hunted in all metal but with my detector that isn't true as it still runs through a filter. I didn't know if I would ever get to hunt there again so most but not all the day it was "All-metal". I gave the maple leaf pendant to the property owner for his wife. The temp with the heat index was 95. Here goes

That's cool that you gave the pendant to the owner. That's one way to get to go back.

Well it's my hunting buddies permission. I don't believe in claim jumping. Hey, the owner let me detect his yard, so why not give him something. On the way back to the buddies to see his find's he tells me, "I don't think I've ever seen an Apostollic, Christian sect, woman wear anything but a ring. I thought, oh no, here I am trying to be nice and probably insulted them. He said at his church Sunday that the wife asked if we found anymore gold so I guess I didn't insult her too bad. Most women think it's a stupid hobby until the bling shows up. There hasn't been a snake born that can strike faster than a women after gold, silver or jewels. They're not all like that but I'd say most.

I totally agree with you Shamrock. They were nice enough so why not give them something. I went to visit the in laws over Christmas and of course I took my detector with. There was snow on the ground and it was frozen down about 2 to 3 inches but I didn't care. I told my mother in law I was going to go looking and she gave me one of those looks like ok whatever. When I can back she asked me if I found anything so I showed her all the change about ten dollars. She said oh how nice with one of those looks like it was a waste of time. Then I broke out the bling. A 14k earring with 13 diamonds and a very nice silver bracelet. All of a sudden this was a great hobby. She even said as much as she might get her a detector. Yeah right. I can just see her now cursing because all she found was a dime.
