Got my gift from Santa yesterday, and I am very pleased! Thank you for the kind, hand written letter! I am very excited to upgrade and possibly complete my Canadian Cent with varieties album! I really like the look of the blue toning on the 1950 Cent! Also, that 100 Schilling is a type I don't have, so it will go well with my world coin type sets! THANK YOU, Santa!

I have received some nice Canadian banknotes which I don't know anything about.

Holiday-Exchange---Secret-Santa-2018

Pair of 1986 2 dollar bills (I did not know that Canada had two dollar bills)

1967 dollar for the Centennial of Canadian Confederation

1973 dollar

Can anyone provide some further information about these banknotes since I don't know much about banknotes?

Ken

Santa made a delivery while I was away for Christmas.
A1978 Eisenhower dollar.
A collection of Roosevelt proof dimes 1968-1971 in a holder.
A 1962 Roosevelt dime, appears to be clipped.
A 1963 Roosevelt dime.
A collection of WW2 Lincoln cents in a holder.
A 1979 SBA proof dollar.
Plus a couple of additional goodies.

Working on photos - hopefully by the weekend.

Thank you Santa.

And thank you rggoodie for organizing this exchange again this year.

I received my Secret Santa gift on Christmas Eve;

(1867-)1967 Canadian 6-Coin Confederation Centennial Commemorative Set

1986 Ottawa $2 Note

"Flowing Hair Liberty Cap" 1/2 Cent

Square Holed Coin

1793 Flowing Hair Advertising Token

You may not believe this...but I purchased a 1967 Canadian Centennial Set on 23 Dec...a day before I received my Secret Santa package. Santa's is clearly superior and I will be sending the "other one" back.

Thank you Santa!

@matttheriley -

I have one of those Austrian 100 Shilling coins. Another member mentioned (in a separate thread) that the coins were sold at banks at face value back in the 70s. Nice addition to the world coin collection.

@kena -

Those are nice looking notes - they look crisp uncirculated!

I received mine today!! Lots of interesting stuff!!

A transit token, some US wheat varieties, a US error, War of 1812 coin set, some Canadian and Provincial large cents and a little silver, "gold" and a "banknote"!!

Some photos, not everything is shown... note that the US error cent is an indent strike with a partial brockage... quite nice!!

Hey guys!! A little late but here none the less. Thank you to my Santa!! Super excited to open it even though I was late to open it :-)

Received a commemorative set with a Churchill uncirculated medal and uncirculated Kennedy half dollar! Super nice! My Santa did a bit of research on me and had sent that as well as few modern coins to fill some holes in my collection, quarter, nickel AND armistice coloured toonie! Actually had completely overlooked that it existed! Lol. Thanks Santa for keeping me on my toes!! Merry Christmas and hope you have a happy new year as well !!!
