I received my surprise today. A lovely 1945-S war nickle. Thank you secret Santa. I will try to update with a picture tomorrow.

Nice! War Nickels are a special bunch for me. The cent went steel for one year, but the nickel went silver for several years. Those 35% silver nickels are worth holding on to. They, along with Steelies, represent the country during WWII.

Photos incoming once I have a computer again, but I finally was able to get my mail and find a delightful gift from Santa. Included was a 1954-S Franklin, a delightful assortment of world coins including countries/colonies I've not gotten coins from before (I'm looking at you, French Polynesia), and a pair of delightful ornaments which will adorn my tree next year.

Woo Hoo!! Just wanted to post that my gift arrived in this mornings mail! I will try to post pics tomorrow but it might be the day after. My usual jump group is going to skydive into the New Year so tomorrow may be a long day.

I certainly hope the Santa I handed my package to was legit. They all start to look the same after a while.

I had a feeling that my assignment would take a while to get to the other side of the world...no word yet.

Finally put away the Christmas clutter and said goodbye to guests. Now I can take the time to post a picture of the contents of my Secret Santa package: Very nice Christmas Card 1944 D Walking Liberty half2 Westward Journey Nickel Sets, each containing a "P" and "D" Uncirculated and gold colored examples. Both the Louisiana Purchase and the Lewis and Clark Bronze ancient coin of Roman Emperor Constantius II and lastly a Series 1950 US $5 bill. Thank you so much Secret Santa (and if there is something about the $5 that I should know, please PM me, I know nothing about currency)

Many of you have emailed me or posted that you have sent your packages and the receiver has not yet posted that they have received them.. Give them time. I also have many emails explaining some people are traveling on business/military or just holidays and have not gotten home to receive their packages and neighbors or post offices are holding them.
Please be patient.
