1796NoPole Valued Member United States 286 Posts	Posted 10/12/2018 9:56 pm I think that's a doubled die, shifted upward. I definitely see a lot of notching that resembles a DD. A good one too. It could also be a plating issue or an artifact of awful glare, but I don't think it's MD. Report this Post to the Staff
josephm99 Pillar of the Community United States 791 Posts	Posted 10/12/2018 10:06 pm I think it's both MD and DDD. Note the die flow lines right by the devices. You can also see the tell-tale shelf-like doubling that is Machine Doubling. Just a spender. I also don't think Class II doubled dies can happen on shield cents.
