I am new to coin collecting, my dad was he passed 8 years ago and I am just now getting into it. I can across this one you can hardly see the 6 Sorry my pictures aren't very good.

@GerdesC, first welcome to CCF. Second, don't stress about the pic--you'll get better with practice. Most likely, the die that struck this coin had a little grease in it and so that number 6 didn't strike up that well.

Oh - I'm sorry your Dad passed. My Dad died 6-28-18
I still have a hard time with that!
I'm with ya, But yes, looks like Grease Filled Die that made details look gone!

I spent way too many years holding on you can't be like me. Plus I have hundreds and hundreds of coins I'll be posting you can help me with LOL I got a clip on microscope thing for my phone I figured I'd start looking for 1969 double die pennies. Most of his collection is pennies
