Happy New Year All,

My Wife found and unusual discrepancy on this 1991 d Roosevelt dime both on the obverse and reverse. Obverse possible strike error? And on the obverse unusual lines all around the rim and on the " One Dime" any thoughts?

And a Happy New Year to you.

That damage couldn'thappen during the striking of the coin so it's PMD.

Do you know what to make of the reverse on the rim, letters and a leaf?

The reverse rim is just showing Post Strike Damage ( PSD). Your Dime is worth face value. It's a spender.

Looks like someone was squeezing a finger nail file onto the reverse area, flattening the obverse with a 'C' clamp?
