That sounds about right. Definite VF in my book--very nice!

I basically agree, VF-30.
One thing I find odd is the strength of detail in LIBERTY and the gown folds, but the rest of the shield and reverse wreath are not as strong.

I'll keep this going until I get at least ten replies. The shield does look pretty weak from the picture now that I take a close look, but it's stronger in hand. I don't know why. Lines look pretty blurred together for some reason. Reverse wreath looks a little better in hand, but not much. So yeah, I think you're right that the gown details obv are stronger than the wreath, bilbo. Wonder why. Do Seated dimes usually have a weaker rev? Also has blue toning which made it more appealing for me. It's really a nice coin for the date/mm though, I looked around through auction histories and current auctions and didn't really find any like this, except a few AU/MS examples which were far over my budget.

I know that details are softened in digital photos taken through a TPG holder. I don't see any real wear on this coin. The leg and breast areas look untouched, except for the contact mark near Liberty's left knee. I think this coin is a AU50, but I think PCGS gave it an EF grade. The leaves in the wreath are a little flat, but I've seen that on many of these coins.

Beautiful coin, much better than my example which grades only about F-12. This one is on the cusp of EF-40. I'd call it VF-35, choice for the grade, with nice original surfaces. Excellent example of this scarce date and type. Did I mention this is a beautiful coin?

VF25. I really like the look of that coin, especially for a no stars variety.

Just barely an AU50 but an AU50 none the less - even by pcgs.
Very nice coin!

Wow, a big range of opinions! PCGS gave it a VF-35...I thought around VF30-35 based on the photos the seller gave, looks XF-40 in hand at least. Got it from Shawn Yancey over at earlycoppercoins for 550 paypal'd shipped and insured.
