More of a coin issue rather than a die issue. If it were a die issue, it couldn't happen as the date devices are deeper into the die. Something would have to hit the die to obliterate them. Then where ever it was pressed inward on the die, it would be raised above the fields. Just couldn't happen. More of an issue probably with a vending machine. ( Gumball Machine)

I like to tell others what I see on their coin. That way it is instructional. If I said yes or no, what have I shared with others other than an answer. I like to instruct so pass on information.

Paying it forward so you in time can have something to share to a new collector.

Coop, I use the best bamboo pole(s) I can find, I securely braid and thread the lines, I bait the hook as shown or needed. I set the hook and pull it in and it seems I'm still catching minnows?

But I'm not complaining, because a minnow is still better than nothing! Thanks, Doug.

Minnows can be used as bait for larger fish.

Maybe you need a fish finder?

Fish finder or I'm also thinking if related to or descendants of Amos Moses, alligator bait! Thanks, Doug.

And to think, I have been wasting money on all the electronics. I am headed to the river early in the morning! Got to try that

The Coin looks to me like a 1949 D with PMD
