Solid 64, I agree. Might even go 65. Quite a coin, congrats.

Photos a little dark. Something going on next to her nose on the cheek

With that and what appears to me, worn hair above/below ear and ear lobe worn some? Looks like it has a lot of luster to me. 8-] I'll wait and see what the experts say.

This's coin has very nice details. I think it is awesome. After thinking about what Keith12 said about the picture being dark I expanded it and looked closer. There are also some places on the neck that appeared to be scratched but it is hard to tell. I still like looking at it though. Very nice.

MS-64. That's a weak strike, not wear.

A point of clarification for some as it took me a while to figure out. If you see wear, it cannot be a MS coin. Once "wear" occurs, the circulated grading scale is determinate of the amount of wear beginning at AU58 and moving down to PO1. If there is no wear on a coin, it is in the uncirculated grading scale and is determinate of the amount of marks and abrasions on the coin from MS70 down to MS60. PCGS graded this one a 64 as a lot of you pointed out. This is one of the cases of a very clean cheek and fields but the pancake strike of the New Orleans mint not letting it get to the gem range. I can't for the life of me figure out the VAM though...Dave any thoughts?

Unless I'm not seeing something I'm stuck on VAM-1

please wait 24hrs to allow others to post their thoughts
88-O is known for average strike with some known weak strikes. this one shows signs of weakness in several areas. AVG- strike
I think the yellowish spot on the wing, overall spotting on the fields and just a little many marks on the cheek hold it to MS64
