Need Help With 1943 D Steel. All Kinds Of Doubling!

On this year the wear was more extreme because of the steel planchets, it cause the wear to happen a lot quicker. The copper planchets were a lot softer and didn't break down the dies as fast. How can I tell that is what it is? Note all the devices are showing the same direction on the devices flowing towards the rim. This is not a doubled die, just die wear. If it were a doubled die, you would not need to look at the edges of the devices, but towards the centers of the devices. Report this Post to the Staff
