Two months ago, I bought an 1844-O Seated Half for $35 in VG-10. Guess what, it had the blundered date error and is worth over $1000. I think I'll be keeping this one for a little while :)

I received 19 Canadian silver dollars in the mail today. I started collecting silver dollars in the 1960's, but the collection, in a Whitman album, has just layed around dormant for years. So, I decided to take it on again, and hopefully finish it up one day. Of the 19 silver dollars I received, the 1935 in AU, and the 1936 and 1937 in BU, are the nicest coins.

I won my first coin from a coin Auction (the recent Downies auction) a couple of weeks ago. It was in Melbourne (about 600 miles from me) so two of my coin buddies checked out the coin for me and I bought it based on their recommendation. It's a choice 1927 Parliament Florin with some nice natural toning.

I've had the good fortune this past week to pick up a few coins I've been missing. 2007-S Sacagawea dollar (brings that set up to date) 1970-S Small Date Lincoln Memorial cent (completes my Memorial set) A 1913-S T-1 Buffalo nickel, and a 1921-S Buffalo nickel (still need the 1913-D T-2, the 1913-S T-2, and the 1914-D to complete the set - no I don't have the 1918/7 nor the 3 Legged Variety). And I got the set of 4 Proof Presidential dollars. All in all, it's been a pretty good week so far. Ralph

Wow mark, that is one nice Florin and the toning adds just that much more to it. Congratulations on your win!
