The florin is a beautiful coin.
Congratulations Ralph on all your coin acquisitions. I need to get the 2007 S Sacagawea in order to catch my collection up to date.

Thanks Gary - haven't been around for awhile, and thought I'd post a note or two. Since my last post, I was able to buy a 1932-D Washington quarter, and a 1914-D Buffalo nickel. It really has been a great coin collecting week for me. Ralph

I finally got my first Adams Dollar today from the bank, nothing like waiting until the last minute. I figured I had better get one now before the Jefferson dollar comes out.

Here is the first slabbed coin I've ever bought! A 1835/5 Half Cent MS-60 for $100! The scratches are on the slab, not the coin.

Today I picked up 6 Morgans and 2 Peace dollars today and these were most worn How can a coin stay in circulation long enough to get this worn? Is some old timer walking around with these in his pocket for decades as his 'pocket piece'? Hope you enjoy these slugs. Image: obverse.jpg77.04 KB Image: reverse.jpg79.07 KB

Wow!
I owned my deal. I bought this coin from a respected dealer in India.
It was a Mughal coin from 1750 for $2 only! What a bargain.
I checked out the price. The retail price is $45
