Last weekend I bought a coin collection by advertising locally that I was buying coins. I spent roughly $700 on 20 silver dollars, 75 halves, 50 or so quarters, and some mixed Mercury dimes, Buffalo nickels, and wheat cents. I made the offer sight unseen based on the quantities told to me and most were common. However there was one 1894-P Morgan in VF-20 or better condition and one 1903 Morgan in EF-40 or better. Not bad!
Rest in Peace

Just arrived today, my first lot of USA proof's.
I purchased
1973,1979,1991,1983, and a 1971 proof sets. I am afraid I don't know the current prices of them, however I believed I picked them up cheaply enough.

It was my birthday this past week and hubby got me the 2007 mint proof set and the silver mint proof set. They are gorgeous!
I bought myself the whitman Indian Head cent folder because the few I have were in envelopes and thats no way to display coins
And the Kennedys I bought from Nelrak arrived this past week as well.
And the $40 worth of kennedys for my 2 folders....
It was a wonderful coin collecting week

Happy be-lated birthday Lucky! :)

Yeah you went on a coin collecting frenzy over the last week. Of course, I do that each week it seems. Too many wants, not enough funds.

Happy hunting.

I went to a local coin show on Saturday and picked up a few very nice type coins. I purchased an 1833 capped bust half dollar dime in fine, an 1835 Capped Bust dime in fine and a very beautiful golden toned 1889 V nickel in VF. I wish I had more to spend because he had some very nice Carson City stuff but I had blown my budget for the month already...

I know that my purchase of the week is not a coin, but it has more to do with coins then you would think...

I bought two, beautiful handmade Oriental Rugs at an estate sale this weekend. (My girlfriend talked me into it.) One is 9'x12' and the other is an exact copy only it is 6'x9'. This is the big one...

Buy-Of-The-Week

The real kicker is that I have no place to put the big one except rolled up in my basement...lol.

Now, what does this have to do with coins? EVERYTHING! It is the reason that I can't buy any for a while!

P.S. Don't tell my GF, but the rugs are for sale, I need my coins darn it. I'll even take $50 off the price if you take the cat too. lol. jk.
