1797 British cartwheel twopence - two ounces of pure copper! One of my favorite British coins!

I'm a sucker for a proof cameo Franklin half, my favorite of the set.

Day 5
Token time again!
One of my first "good" finds.
It's one of the few crossover things that's out there, is it a coin is it a button...well, it's both!
The need for coins was so great that soldiers pulled buttons from their uniforms and removed the shanks and in turn these passed as half pennies.
Montreal British Militia ( Ch. MB-2) one of favourite relics so far!
It's uniface, there was no back mark on the button.

Rather than comment after everyone's post, I want to at least say once, thank you!

Another one of my favorites. This one reminds me that we are, after all, only human.

Day 5 - a Philipsdaalder (silver 31 g) minted in Brugge, Flanders and recovered from the coin find from 1995 in Urk, the Netherlands

the hoard was probably hidden by the owner for the raiding Spanish troops in the area - not long after 1575, during the 80-years war
