I've always liked the colorful Capital Plastics screw together coin holders. They just seem to make good looking coins 'pop' even more!

I bought this 3-coin set of Steelies off of a bid board in Southern California in the mid-1980's for less than 5$....blue Capital holder and brown slip case included!

For being trucked across the country, stored in all kinds of hot / cold and damp / dry weather they have held up pretty good the last 35 years or so. The coins have never been taken out of this holder since I've owned them.

I know I have more coins in Capital holders around here somewhere and will try to post them. Would love to see yours, too!

Another one I purchased a long time ago. I must have been partial to the blue ones! One of the steel cents has developed a case of Zinc rot so I'll pull it apart and replace it with a better one. I still like these old holders.

Agree with your observation.

One would think, with today's technology, ultra customer holders should be easy to cut out.

Thank you for sharing!!

I got this MacArthur set at a shop in North San Diego County at least 25 years ago. Pretty sure it came off of their bid board for less than 10$. The black Capitol Plastics holders really make the silver coins just "pop"! It still looks as good as the day I bought it! I hope you enjoy seeing it as much as I enjoy being the caretaker of it!

Great looking sets especially the MacArthur.
They look really well struck compared to many I've seen lately.

Everything I see now from Capital is either in black or white.

I like the old stuff....blue, green and red!
