I voted 1-5 but I really don't have any specific number. I buy whenever I can find what I want. Sometimes it's nothing for a month. Sometimes I unexpectly might get a link from ebay to a favorite seller that has something or I might see the link in the newgroups. This happened tonight with only a few hours to go and I got couple of military tokens from a dealer I like. Before that I hadn't found anything to buy for at least a month, maybe two monthis.

I have not responded to the poll as it is not possible to say how many I buy in a week. I used to buy just about anything that I came across but have now become quite selective in what I buy.

Roughly 1 a month on average. I'll have some months when i'll go crazy and buy 4 things, followed by 4 months of nothing.

If you discount the junk then I actually buy on average 10 coins a month. If you include the junk I hate to thank how many it is. I like low grade coins they have more history, they can be picked up for next to nothing and they make excelent halloween gifts. There is also the chance some one has overlooked an error just because the coin is low grade and not interesting.

Mine varies tremendously but I try to get at least one coin "fix" every week even if it is just a world type coin off of ebay. I prefer to buy from a dealer(s) but that all is determined by time and money. I would say in 2005 I purchased thousands of coins and most are still here but, for the most part, it was a huge herd of buffalos!!!! Shoot, picked up 1000 more already in 2006! Now I am targeting Australian coins and foreign gold and silver as long as the money don't run out!

I voted 0-5 per week as of right now. it will slow down after I get through my American Silver Eagle set though. Since after that I will be getting the 1921-p,d Mercury dime, and then start my Dansco Type set which I will not be able to but once a week then since I will have to save for most. Since I want a very nice set

I tend to buy higher grade or less available coins, thus more expensive coins (esp. Morgans), so one per MONTH would be a high estimate. I'll often go six months without buying anything.

Because I don't buy on any schedual, I found it difficult to guess a number to vote on. So, let that part go and not worry about it.
It seems that time is relative, and finding a coin that I need and/or want for my collections are often few and far between. I'm looking for two 5 cent pieces right now and have been looking for them for over a year and a half. Who knows when they will show up!

When possible, I like to buy from forum members. However most of my purchases come when we drive to the nearest "big" town -- Grand Junction, Colo. My coin store is located there, and I find it very hard to visit it, and then leave without a coin.
On average, I probably buy about five coins a week. I'm overdoing it this week, having ordered three 2006 Specimen Sets from the Canadian mint, and also am having Bigfella look for Aussie coins (Kookaburras) for me.

Becouse I buy mostly kilo's (bulk), I can say loud, a few hundred each month, just got myself 30 kilo's 2 weeks ago, still sorting them out, and still enjoying it every time again, for my trade/swap list I need to have a few, got a little over 35.000 now on them, with a max of 5 coins from one year of the type, it gives me something to do :-)
Greetings, Carl

I/My wife give out coins at halloween instead of candy. Something some-one from WINS got me into. We have two bowwls one with cheap and nasty candy. The other with coins in 2x2 flips with a little note about the coin on them. Last year I was away for Halloween but my wife tells me we had just over 70 Kids come to the door throughout the night and 52 chose coins over candy. The Year before it was only 16 so I think word is getting around that there is a crazy old man giving out money on halloween.

I buy sporadically. Since I'm currently in a low phase, I selected 0-5. Lately, I buy every few months or so, typically picking up three or four at a time. During active periods, however, the numbers increase considerably. It's a good thing I'm not always active - I would go broke if I was!
