If this coin has been dipped PCGS didn't pick up on it. Course that may not mean much. I'm kinda going with spence right now with the Die Deterioration. There also seems to be some beveling around the edges. The obverse is showing the same effect though not as severe. I saw this characteristic on a lot of Morgan dollars.
Thanks Errers and frog. I assume neither is attributable correct? On some Morgan dollars moderate corrosion may be listable. (Moderate [corrosion] is called 'granularity, somewhat listable when the devices start to spread into each other)
