Lovely coin t360, but it is Post Union, 1707 was the year of Union and 1707 coins are divided with pre and post union. Pre Union ones have the Scottish lion and the 3 English lions on separate rather than split shields.
Either way it makes an outstanding piece and goes well with its little brother up the page (My Halfcrown which also has the same design).

Just skimming through these has been quite educational --- I only have been collecting since late 2019 and primarily U coinage with a little foreign coins (Palestine, Canada, a smattering of 20th century UK --- although I prize getting a 1945 Maundy set from a dealer, love them and find them a good way to get familiar with the rulers of UK)

We have had monarchy by consent since the 17th century. They do not 'rule' us.
