@jg1, sorry but I don't think that this is an RPM--rather Machine Doubling on the mintmark.

Probably the upper left corner of the digits above will show the same thing. Most often the RPM is taller than the fields.

Here is an old collage of so called RPMs and one that is a RPM. They are all 1984 cents. (What are the chances of that happening?)
