I don't see how this could be a vise job. Seems legit to me, but seems cool enough that having Mike Diamond weigh makes sense.

Congratulations GrapeCollects

Way to finish off the month!
Nice pictures too

EDIT: favorite area is the reverse; The D in UNITED over the O. Just wicked!

All of the action on the reverse and just "LIBERTY" on the front?
I would have thought may be just little more action on the front.

Still enjoying the pics.

Congrats GC.
Excellent example and very nice find. You nailed the error also from what I see.

I believe the stronger impression was applied last. I think the obvesrse looks impressive because the pressure and wide fields on the obverse hammer die obliterated most of the first strike?
The second LIBERTY shows up well because the bust is the deeper part of the design. Seems like there was less pressure here on the second strike to eliminate LIBERTY.

The angles don't add up. Liberty should be straight in, or I think you would see some form of rim damage. Also the front to back comparison angles don't match up.

Looks like it was double struck in the collar with a rotation between strikes. 1/4 turn.
