I make a second plea for Prethens "1995 Special Olympics World Games" !.....[.... ...(are people actually saying that "Eunice" isn't attractive ? ) Actually, the reverse on this coin isn't unattractive though) Now......lets see.....you didn't say the worlds MOST BEAUTIFUL COIN.......you said a FAVORITE COIN.....right ? So, I suggest... USA .01 cent Large Cent "Classic Head" 1808-1814 USA .01 cent Large Cent "Matron Head" 1816-1836 USA $1.00 Trade dollar 1873-1885 (this is a VERY beautiful coin !)

And I must say that so many favorites of mine are already on there of course !I will be watching the " world favorites" with anticipation though.... Very curious about this list......might see one I have to have !.... I have little to no exposure to "foreign coinage" and I'm also hoping that there will be more PICS to remedy this!.... Our Australian and European friends have MANY coins to post up here too ......I'm sure !..... eagerly watching........

I was surprized no mentioned the 2000 Leif Eficson Millennium Commemorative. Such beauty & grace Males me wonder why it is not being sold as a flag that we all could display on Columbus Day.

Quote: wonder why it is not being sold as a flag that we all could display on Columbus Day Maybe because the American Indian was already here and they don't like the notion that this land was " discovered" by Columbus OR Leif Ericson !

Quote: they don't like the notion that this land was "discovered" by Columbus...OR Leif Ericson ! And Leifur Eiríksson did not hang around...probably because they didn't find any precious metals and were a little spooked by the natives. I guess the Spaniards were more persistent, eh? Sorta funny how they left "Vinland", but stuck around unGreenland. Anyway--here's an African coin which I think really qualifies. I'll post a pic because it's rather unknown and should be seen to be appreciated (not my photos). What do you think? Zanzibar, 1 Pesa, 1299 AH or about 1881 AD
