Hello my friends Yesterday when the pictures were put to her, you said, Congratulations ... Five hours later you tell me he manipulated the lighting ... Today some of you said that it was Machine Doubling ... I want to ask you my friends to all of you. What is the benefit that you play or cheat one of you? And the answer is all due to fine or harm ... If I asked you, I want to classify them and confirm them in what should I do because I did not classify any of his coins before I asked one of you to explain to me what to do to go to PCGS company..

I believe what you have is a machine doubled 1969 S Lincoln Cent that is worth face value. But, if you want to spend the money to have it graded you can google ANACS, PCGS or NCG. I honestly hate to see you go through all of this for nothing. Do I think you were trying to manipulate the lighting, I do not but lighting can make things appear to be something it is not. If you decide to have it graded, I wish you the best of luck. I can say this with certainty, what you have is a normal circulated 1969 S Lincoln Cent.

Hello adnan10010, No one can cast the first stone. We all make mistakes in identifying an error or variety. As for your coin, I was the first to ask for pictures of the "whole coin". Yes, the pictures were not detailed and of poor lighting. The first post on this board is "POSTING ERROR COINS" http://goccf.com/t/5450. Please read this post. I believe this post is designed to help the poster and people who comment. Also, I think it is to standardize a post. It will cover all of your questions. Every now and then I will comment on someone's post and add the link to POSTING ERROR COINS because the postee isn't following that standard. I will have to admit that when I post I think I post to many pictures.... but like someone said, "we do like pictures here". I hope you continue to make future posts and look forward to them. Thanks and Good luck Coin Roll Hunting

I personally try to adjust the lighting of each coin I photograph to highlight what I want to show on a coin. Early on when I was a bit more green than I am now , I made the same honest mistake that it looks like you did. I lit a coin to best show what I thought was a doubled die. Others realized my mistake, mirroring what happened here for you. No blame or accusations were made as I feel none were made here. I hope you can come to see this whole thing the same way , and enjoy this community

Nobody here would want to cheat or lie to you. We all try to help and contribute. If you had the real deal we all would only be happy for you and would confirm that you had the real deal. Keep asking and learning! Cheers

I just check PCGS for a 1963-S (Probably submitted for a DDO, that wasn't) to see what it graded out: $3 MS-63 Probably cost him 15 times that to have it graded. https://www.PCGS.com/cert/35616281When they used to show a lot of images, I counted 130 that were submitted and just graded as a normal coin because they were not the big DDO. Make sure your willing to take that big of a hit on grading a coin that is just a circulation find.

@coop OP is trying to get email of YouTuber Coin Opp (great channel that introduced me to coin collecting). He wants to send him pictures of this 1969 S penny thinking that Coin Opp is gonna tell him that this is a DDO (which this is not). OP thinks that we lied to him about this penny. He thinks this is the real deal! OP, this is NOT a DDO 1969 S penny. I wish you best of luck. Please do send this coin to PCGS and get it graded and then MAKE SURE to post results of how much money you e wasted on grading normal coin! Cheers

The issue is that the mintmark is showing the same doubling as the date, which it shouldnt, none of the other letters or devices show the doubling that they should, and the lighting is verh bad in these pictures. From the pictures you posted of the other letters on the coin, we can be certain that this is NOT the 1969 S Doubled Die you are looking for, or any doubled die for that matter.

adnan10010, go to varietyvista.com and click on the tab DDO listings and then click on the tab 1969 S. That is the actual Doubled die cent.
