Please grade

Obverse has good luster which didn't get captured in the pic. Reverse does not however because I think that patina is too thick. Might that coin be a project for PCGS restoration services?

Numerical grade wise, MS-63. But I'm a bit concerned about the splotchy toning. That is often the case with retoning over cleaning.

If it's not a coin you own yet, I'd wait. Even up to 66 Red these are not tough to find encapsulated for no more than raw.

Good advice. I'd say 63 on a good day, and that dark area in Lincoln's hair is most distracting.

those lower grades - what'S the reasoning behind it? Lack of luster plus that black toupe on obverse? Because marks wise I don't see much tbh
Rest in Peace

I'd say MS62, eye appeal is very low.

Agree. Spotting in obverse fields and darkened area in the hair (start of ED?). Lower my estimate to 62 at best.

MS62 with possible environmental damage.
The color/toning/eye appeal is borderline, I can see how some may find it attractive while others find it ugly. There's just something off about it.

I'm not seeing this V.D.B. on the reverse I this picture.it should be clear with this much detail left on the coin... withholding my judgement.the color is uneven and bad for whatever reason. Makes me thing it was much worse and cleaned.

Anyways I'm not certain by these pictures it's a V.D.B.

The blurry area shows the VDB just not very well because it was out of focus.
