LOL! I thought you had something wrong in the title for the post, but that's as close to a 1904 LWC as I've ever seen. It's post strike damage that happens to be on the third number of the date. Someone has used a punch or a drill bit on the coin and it made a raised area around the indention.

Thanks for posting it. Sorry it's just damaged.

I like that. It almost looks like someone was intentionally trying to alter the date to 1904.

1904 would be an IHC not a LWC. It is PMD.

It was a 1944-S. You can tell from the mintmark style. It it the style used in 1943 through 1944.
