The extreme die wear is seen on the reverse as the devices are moving towards the rim as the die wears. The obverse die is also showing die wear. Why do I not call it Die Deterioration? Because Die Deterioration shows on the single squeeze dies. What is the differences? With the devices not showing higher profile, the DDD shows on the fields and not on the devices. Die wear shows on the higher profile design and affects the devices and flows across the fields. Die Deterioration: (Single Squeeze dies with lower profiles on the bust and designs) Note how the field is affected, while the devices are not affected? Die wear: multi hubbed dies with the higher profiles of the bust and buildings) Note how the devices are moving closer to the rim? As the die wear the devices are distorted by the die wear: All caused by the same event, die aging. Just affects the devices/fields differently.
