That's a great coin And you're up, Sap! Although, looking at the time, you might be napping..

Hi everyone, That is indeed the correct coin. One of my favourites! Minted the year I was born 1963 so it is part of my birth year collection. And it's Silver, my favourite coin metal. A truly beautiful coin with tons of info on with the Kings on one side and a great map on the other, with placenames albeit in Greek. I thought it might catch a few people seeing as how the section I pictured looks like a coin by itself. It is pictured in my krause (2004) Well done Sap!

OK, here's one. Only the denomination name has been deleted.

Correct. You may fire when ready.

Quote: Post a note in the support forum complaining that your pictures seem to be changing and editing themselves, with a link to your post in this thread (and other examples where it's happened). When it happens again, I'll do that. It might be a problem for the future reader of the posts that the pictures don't really match the text. As for the coin, when is it the time to ask for hints? (now? ) Is it a bimetallic coin maybe?

Do you need hints already? It's only been a couple of days. OK. Well to answer your question, no, it's not a bi-metallic. It is in fact Silver 0.835 fineness to be exact. This coin was issued to commemorate 100 years of something and there were over 3,000,000 minted. How's that for starters?

I think that is just part of the image, so the coin is round. I have searched without any luck, so I will have to wait until the next clue if no one else guesses it.

Yes that is part of the coin, as it said in the post. (The main design on this side.)
OK, another clue. This coin is from a country in Europe.

Never seen such a coin, but it looks like Jbuck is right. It has a 3.011 million mintage. It is .8350 silver. Krause says "Centennial of Rome.." We may continue.

I do have the regular silver L.500 and I must admit it's very interesting. Now that I've looked at them more closely, I have a question - What's KM#208 (2000) supposed to commemorate? "Standing figure flanked by tall weeds"?
