A hint you say! OK. Hmmmm, tough to give a hint without making it too easy.
How about if I tell you it's a regular issue, from the 1990's it's 24.8mm across. And the design shows native art.
Is that enough for starters?

And does it say REPUBLICA DE COLOMBIA 200 PESOS on the other side? (1994/1995/1996)
What was the KM? 287?

I was almost going to say it was a quid, but then again there is no quid with "authority"!

Looks like the same font as British coins. Might be a 2 pound?

Maybe it was minted by The Royal Mint? Is it a Bermuda £1 1983 KM#30? I believe that may be inscribed Bermuda Monetary Authority around the edge.

If that guess is wrong then it might be the $5 km#31 which is of the same material but a little larger and probably has the same inscription. I have neither of these coins to be able to check, and you can't see the edges in krause, so I could be miles off!
Great photo by the way!

It looks heraldic, like it was the centrepiece of a coat of arms. So I typed "coats of arms of Africa" into Wikipedia, and didn't have to scroll down too far to find it: Burundi. Quote: Unfortunately this coin isn't gold Yet it's yellow, so it must be brass or similar alloy. And the only brass coin I see listed for Burundi is the 1 franc 1967 from the Kingdom period (KM# 6). Here.

Sap, my friend, you continue to amaze me. I spent a half-hour Googling this one (I have no life) and came up with zip, zilch, nada. You, on the other hand ... wow.

I will take that as a confirmation. And now for something a little older. Next coin:

Well done Sap, yes it is Burundi KM#6, not sure where you got 1967 from as it was only issued in 1965, but the correct coin never the less.
