Ok, do you know the name of his horse? Just kidding. That should be all you need to do an effective search, but I'll give you another clue.
The coin depicts a famous painting of Washington, painted by John Trumbull in 1790. It was said to be his wife's favourite likeness of George.
That should give you some things to go at!

Let's try this one: Image: Ship.jpg38.88 KB This is a picture of the reverse side of the coin, minus some lettering which identifies the name of the vessel. Good luck!

Time for a hint, methinks.
I couldn't post the obverse side of the coin because the living being on it would completely give away what country the coin was from, although said living being could be mistaken as a symbol for other countries.
And since it's Sunday ... a bonus hint. The language on the coin is not in English or a Romantic language, although it does use some common letters (like the letter "M", for instance), and some words in the language do have common roots with words in other languages.

Coinaholic, it's so close that I'm gonna take it and run. It's a 1000-ruble gold coin; see it and similar coins at this impossible URL: http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.bankofrussia.org/bank-notes_coins/memorable_coins/current_year_coins/5117-0030.gif&imgrefurl=http://www.bankofrussia.org/bank-notes_coins/memorable_coins/current_year_coins/printc3c8.html%3Ffile=060801_eng.htm&usg=__Dhd3OTGdG5JeEsYKEXJNqCWtnUM=&h=330&w=330&sz=24&hl=en&start=47&um=1&tbnid=phR-05HMmH3QdM:&tbnh=119&tbnw=119&prev=/images%3Fq=commemorative%2Bcoin%2Brussia&ndsp=18&hl=en&client=safari&rls=en&sa=N&start=36&um=1 .
