Enjoying the contributions from more "exotic" places like Congo, El Salvador ... even that nice Guernsey coin from @dorado (and those Germany 10 P pieces are very nicely detailed for a type that wore down so easily).

1889 (Philadelphia) Morgan. I briefly considered taking it out of the holder to photograph, but decided to entertain everyone with the horrid colors in which 2 x 2s used to be available  . (probably dating to the 1970s)   |

And copper for that matter. Here is another Norwegian colonial piece issued by Sweden  A fairly nice 2 Ore coin similar in design to the 5 ores of the era. I have 2 more 5 ores coming up in the 1970s. It is interesting these come up occasionally in bulk lots in New Zealand. There was some Scandinavian settlements here in the Lower North island - Norsewood and Dannevirke. |
