Hey everyone, I've got a 1947 s Wheat penny to look at. Is that a strike through error on Lincoln's profile and above RTY in LIBERTY? Also there is a raised area connecting the 7 to the rim. I have not used acetone on this yet, I'm out at the moment, if needed I can update with after images at a later time.

Hard to tell what was really there, because of the circulation flattening. Looks like a lamination on the neck.

Thanks coop. That curve near the 7 stuck out to me because the reflection on it continues with the 7 as if it were part of it

There is a trench of something that altered the top of the '7'. That is what I'm seeing. PSD.
