Here is a picture of my Encyclopedia of German Notgeld book, entitled 'GERMAN GEMS': It contains lots of very useful information for a notgeld collector!

Here is a lovely piece that historically, is linked to Henry VIII of England!! Anne of Cleves, was Henry's German wife and wife number '4'. I believe he chose her from a picture he was shown by his courtiers............but it didn't stand up to being life-like. The note is from a set of 4 and it is depicted in my 'German Gems' book - see previous post.....

Here is an original serienschein piece issued in Wiedenbrueck in 1921. It has subsequently been overprinted or re-valued '1 BILLION' mark!...........which would have been late 1923.

If it was just the 'normal' original 50pf note, it would be a fairly 'common' piece of notgeld, but with the overprint, the note becomes a scarce piece.

Quite a nice looking piece, although it is in 'very used' condition: It's a piece of 'serienscheine' notgeld so was not issued for actual circulation.............although this note is a good example that some actually did!
