I like those imaginative names, No. 1 and No. 2. It is like selling Snake Oil on Notgeld. Interesting!

Here is a lovely set of 6 x 50pf pieces, issued in Alten- und Frauenbreitungen. As there are 2 main serienscheine catalogues, they have 2 numbers. They are either Gr/Mehl - 18.1 or Lm.18 Unfortunately for collectors, as the sets go further down the alphabet, the catalogue numbers get further a part. They catalogue at 2 euros each, so very reasonable prices for possible collectors - a lovely complete set of 6 colourful pieces for around 12 - 15 euros! Happy days.....

A set of 4 from Ruhpolding. The 5 + 10pf pieces have their serial numbers on their fronts, whilst the 25 + 50pf have their serial numbers on their reverse sides.

Please be CAREFUL out there! These pieces are not just missing their serial numbers - that could have happened when they went through the numerator machines and were slightly stuck to another piece - but they also, in this example, have been hole-punch cancelled with 'UNGILTIG' (cancelled). This now stopped the note(s) from entering circulation and being used as a serial number could not now be added to make the note appear correct/valid or normal. Lots of pieces out there are labelled or described as 'specimen' or 'muster' - but they are only missing their serial numbers!! This is NOT the same thing as being a SPECIMEN piece. A typical price for a 1 euro valued 'normal' note increases to 15 euros if it is missing a serial number (that should be present). A specimen piece, in my opinion should be valued at a minimum of 35 euros. Hope that helps other collectors.

Here is another example of what I am saying about 'specimen' or 'muster' pieces: 1 - The 'normal' piece with serial number: 2 - The 'scarcer' piece with NO serial number (but not a 'specimen or 'muster' piece, as denoted in some catalogues): 3 - The real 'specimen' piece with no serial number and significant mark.....here, the star-shaped cancellation mark:

In these times, just after WWI, the German People felt resentment, economic loses and sorrow. Some of the notgeld issues depict this of course: With a religious theme to them, a poignant set. The bottom note depicts a German soldier lying buried under a crop of wheat.

I found the answer about the 1pf +2pf small pieces.
The 1920 pair are catalogues in Tieste (Verk) as 1950.20/30 & 31 The 1921 pair are catalogued in Tieste (Verk) as 1950.20/40 & 41
I found the pictures a little confusing.......
