Wondering if this is a lamination or strikethrough error?

When I found this, it didn't strike me (pun intended) as usual PMD. But I could be wrong.

@mp, yes there is a sort of cloud above the trees. Is this region incuse or is it in relief?

@Spence It is indeed incuse. That's why I wondered about lamination vs struck through material.

Ok yes, I'm leaning more toward stuck through a glop of grease. Lams more typically seem to have more defined edges.

so did this end as a grease glob ? I ask because I have just come across some from a new roll that has them in deferent spots /stages .I'll make a new post if some one wants to see them

I'd say struck through grease/oil that had metal filings imbedded.
