Calk up another reason to go to Australia! Besides the Southern Dark skies that is, GOLD!
Wonderful finds.

Yep nuggethill, I'm a tad jealous of your skies down under. I've got a few really nice scopes, Takahashi FSQn (2) and a TOA 150, as well as an ASA 16" astrograph and a Celestron 11" SCT, a pair of Paramount ME's and an old non goto Mountain Instruments MI-250 as well as a little Losmandy GM8g mount for traveling. I shoot with Canon DSLR and a pair of Apogee CCDs and some older sBig CCD cameras. The astronomy must be unreal and dark in the outback!

Yes it is there's plenty of places I've climbed out of the 4x4 and it's been pitch black except for the stars and all you can say is "WOW",I've yet to have an all night vigil with the camera oh and the moon shot was taken with the 10" scope with the canon A495 set up on the bracket that sits on the lens,I now have better lenses
