A good friend sent me three sealed Mint bags of the New Samoa Quarters P/D/S. As I was searching them for Errors and such. I came across this interesting find. The D and S Mint coin's have what looks like Doubling in the Eye's of the Baby Bat. BUT the P mint mark dose NOT have this. What do ya think? Engraving Error on the P Or Doubling on the D/S? I have sent e-mail and pictures to MR Wexler and MR wiles to see what they think also.Full picture of the S mint mark coin only but the eye's are in order of all three P/D/S The Doubling is in both Eyes, I only took a picture of the left eye D/S

Interesting. Not sure what to think of it. There's a chance that it could be a DDR.

There's a chance it might be a double die but not likely since it is on all coins from two mints. It might be considered Master Die Doubling?
How about an image of the eyes of the bat on the Philly coins for comparison.

My bad. I should have been more clear in asking for a close up of the eyes on the Philly coin.

Dave,
Are you talking about the small eliptical area south of the main eye on the D and S labeled examples above?
When looking at your thread initially I noticed the area to the north which is part of the design. I'm not sure if Coop was looking at the same area as I (but the link Coop shared is having problems today, 5/9/20)
