Hey everyone I found this nickel while Coin roll hunting and was wondering if anyone could help me out. This nickel has the shine of proof coin but there was no proofs made in 1943. I am assuming its just been cleaned super hard but I thought I would post here and get your thoughts.

You are correct, it can't be a proof, there were no proof Jefferson's after 1942 until 1950. It looks like it has been through a lot of circulation and possibly "reconditioned" which means it was plated to look nice and shiny. Hard to say. It is still a 35% silver coin and a great find.
