Yes it is from New Zealand, I hope you don't mind. Please be gentle with the whip. I have posted pictures of this coin on this site in the past asking if anyone knew what it is but it stumped everyone. Well yesterday I was researching another coin and low and behold I found this oddity. But the one I found the person said it was from Bahrain. It is actually from New Zealand. It is a trial strike from 1966 for a 20 cent coin. Seems they are fairly rare. I looked up the sold one and they are going for $1,800-$3,000 back in 2006.

My question is Should I send it in to PCGS to get it certified? Will it be worth it?

The 20 cent has a "b" on one side, the only one this design matches is the 50 cent 1966 - 31.6mm - 2.8mm Thick - Plain Edge - 17.003 Grams

I've never seen or heard of these before. I'm pretty sure they're not listed in Krause. As such, I'm not sure that PCGS will slab them.

I think you'd need to ask them directly.

Should have put the impotent stuff in, eh!

WT 8.42gm
dia. 27.3mm
Thick 2mm
Raised edge/reeded

The only reason I mentioned 20 cents is that is what it was closet to.
