Saw this one listed in a slip with mediocre photos as doubled die obverse, see slip. Well the slip said MS-64 RB+ Wexler 5-0-IV (PUP extra thickness to east on date). This of course makes no sense as that's CONECA nomenclature not Wexlers and the coin would end up being die 5 which is a class 4 doubled eyelid not a shift in the date. Wexler's WDDO-005 is a class 5 minor rotation so something was all messed up on the slip. Well the seller had at least one other coin up and even with the photos I could see it was correct, so I took a chance and won this one for $15 not really knowing what I was getting but pretty sure it would be a DDO. Turned out to be a fairly nice DDO-008. Not unhappy at all with the purchase as this is a pretty strong class 6 DDO and the coin has nice eye appeal. 1936 Lincoln Wheat cent doubled die DDO-008

Well back before CONECA, there was Wexler. Long story short: All Wexlers files ended up belonging to James Wiles. Maybe he bought them, I dont remember. Then when Wexler got back into it, he tried getting them back and it didnt happen. Now Wexler started his own files again. Could be the reason behind the Wexler #. Could be very old. And nice pickup as always Keith.. Looks more MS65 or 66

Really nice purchase. Great job deciphering the seller's info.
Your image shows the expected "suspects" for class 6 doubling really well, tail of the 9, U (TRUST), E(WE), and even the curved spine of IBE (LIBERTY).

Thanks folks!
And tonight is my last night in the old office as everything is moved except the computer and scope. Took those photos off the top of a cardboard box as there's nothing much else here. Will still be back and forth at least a time or two but for the most part after tomorrow am fully established in Pennsylvania just with a terrible mess of an office to unpack, sort and get straightened up.
So for the last night searching here, after quite a few years and a lot of coins found sitting here, I got my hands on about 1500 unsearched Lincoln memorials. There are some proofs and generally better coins but not some big clean BU group by any means. But it's the last hurrah so hopefully there's one more good one to be found before abandoning this place.
