1941 Wheat Penny Lamination Error? - Coin Community Forum

Sarah Lebron New Member United States 16 Posts	Posted 07/17/2020 4:15 pm I came across this 1941 Wheat penny and at first I thought it was just worn or dirty. But it has a strange, gritty texture and it's not dirty as far as I can tell. Is it just worn or could it be a lamination error? I took pics with the flash on and off. Any info is appreciated. I think that they also corrode faster if the metal mix isn't right because of the different dielectrics of the incorrectly separated pure metals touching allows reaction.
