What do you make of this one? It looks like the earlobe is doubled and pretty much all the features of the coin are doubled east>west.

Pictures speak volumes with this site.. Practice full pictures, front/back... then zoom to area and ensure focus with additional comments.

I was thinking MD in the form of a double strike? I appreciate the advice about the pictures. I'm having some trouble there. These zoomed in pics are barely small enough to upload; and any pictures I take of whole coins don't show any of the detail I am discussing. This is probably because my scope is horrible at lighting and I haven't figured it out yet. If I could get it to show up, you could see the area of the "of" at the top of the coin is the only thing that doesn't show this doubling. It feels like the second strike may have rotated at the bottom a little to the east. Sorry, I am just a little obsessed with how these things happen!
