How long ago was that thing graded? Recently? or 20 years ago?
As some of you always point out, buy the coin, not the label on the slab. That coin isn't going to be a high auction winner.

If a non fully struck coin can hold it back to a 65-66 than a LDS should as well.

Quote: If I remember right,53-s is known for a mushy strike. I think they gave it a MS67 FS. Personally I say MS65. John1 I agree with that statement, always found really mushy and poorly struck. I always try and check dealers junk boxes at coin shows for a few dates of Jeffereson Nickels if I'm bored and have time, never know if you are going to find a FS one of the tough coins, it would be like hitting the lucky lotto scratcher worth $10K+, LOL. I just can't see any way this is a MS67FS coin, so I go over to see how PCGS would show a MS67FS coin on their CoinFacts page and I see this... https://www.PCGS.com/coinfacts/coin...-5c-fs/84051The exact same coin only graded in MS65FS? Did this one suddenly gain a two point point upgrade on a re-submission? I would think that PCGS would have looked pretty close at the coin since it has a value so dang high (well over $25,000) before they would but it in a two point upgrade holder since they might have to buy it back in their guarantee. Then I check their Pop Report site, they show MS66FS as the highest grade (Top Pop) 1953-S coin in their database so far, and only 1 of them at that. A few MS65FS including this one. https://www.PCGS.com/pop/detail/cat...=3&p=MS&pn=2Is someone pulling your leg GrapeCollects? Or did this coin just upgrade in the past week or so? Weird.

Definitely the same coin on CoinFacts as stated. Either they have it listed improperly on CoinFacts, which still doesn't explain the pop report. Or it was resubmitted. But who would resubmit and successfully get a 2 point bump, OR risk a crackout and submit raw. 65FS was a more than fair grade IMO.
