Quote: I am 99.9% sure, that the one box of coins, was the box I dropped off at the bank years ago. Quote: The rolls weren't in a Cent box, they were in a Nickel box labeled $25 in pennies. I remember loading up a nickel box with pennies and taking it to the bank around 2003-04. It was the first full box I ever took to the bank. Quote: When I was probably 10 years old, I spray painted 2 pennies gold and pretended they were pirate treasure. They were both in that box and DO have the same dates that I used back then, because one of them was the year I was born. I know none of you believe me, but I sure remember this like it was yesterday haha. We sat in the back yard and put down a piece of newspaper. My dad had a couple different cans of gold spray paint back then, that he used for certain pieces on his HO gauge model train layout and let me spray a couple coins. I kept them on my dresser for years, then one day I decided to take apart my old coin collection. I kept my 1980 proof set which is still in my dresser. The proof set was basically all that I had left, except for a gold plated half dollar a few small bags of coins/paper from other countries, that my uncle gave me over the years. I also have part of a Jefferson nickel set that I came across CRH'ing a few years ago, but it was missing a lot of the key dates and War Nickels. Then I started collecting again a couple weeks ago, made a membership here, bought 2 boxes of Lincoln cents, plus some other random rolls of change and started learning all about coins again. Edit - The other day I ended up buying a box of 100 2x2's and a few of those plastic coin tubes.

That is a cool proof set; I have a few proof sets myself.

Quote: That is a cool proof set; I have a few proof sets myself. My parents got it for me when I was born. I remember opening it when I was young, so the coins most likely have fingerprints all over them. You can see a crack in the case where the nickel is. Edit - Found a few more today. 1982 LMC Small Date Zinc (Spikehead) http://goccf.com/t/3812861982 LMC Small Date Copper (Reverse Double Die Crack, Possibly Full Roof) http://goccf.com/t/3812871982 LMC Large Date Copper (Reverse Triple Die Crack, Possibly Full Roof) http://goccf.com/t/381288

I get about 10 wheaties per box of pennies, but ususally quit a bit of pre 1982 coppers. My experience with customer wraps have been horrible in turns of the condition of the coins so I try to avoid them.

Almost $15 out of those 2 boxes were copper cents 59-82. Maybe I should start hanging onto them haha? I really can't afford to though. About 1/4 of the one box was probably AU50 or better, but I took out anything that had the slightest hint of green, fingerprints or other damage on them. So far I have about a tube and a half full of reds. Today I found, 46 of the 1983 cents had minor reverse die breaks (I didn't check if any were listed) Plus, http://goccf.com/t/381358 reverse die break http://goccf.com/t/381363 1983 LMC, Reverse Quad Crack + Large Hive (RCD-1c-1983-03R Stage-A) SKH-1c-1983-28 (Spike head) SKH-1c-1983-41 (spike head) I didn't post pictures of the spike heads, because I was finding so many other die breaks.

I didn't find much in the 1991-1998 cents, until I came across my very first DDR yesterday. That brings my total to 1 DDO and 1 DDR, ever since I join this website. LMC 1998 P-1 Dr-001 Coppercoins http://goccf.com/t/382409Edit - Plus a few minor die cracks among the other years.
