I think I may have a DDO here, but wanted some thoughts from the community! I spent a bunch of time on VV and tried to figure it out. I am between the FS-102 and the 1971 D-DDO-007. The coin rolling machines were not kind to this coin. Lots of the circular scratches. I put arrows on what I thought were markers. I could be completely of base here, but fingers crossed! Still learning!

Nice find! Looks to be FS- 102 from what pics you have listed. Would help to have a close up of the full motto and Liberty.

See if you can match reference number with die markers. Let us know which one it is.

I believe your half dollar would be the CONECA listed 71D DDO-006 (FS-102). There are only two in the listings that have the four serifs on the lower I of IN, like you have pictured, the DDO-006 and the DDO-017. The doubling on yours looks like the DDO-006. A marker I use for my collection for the DDO-006 is the short die gouge above the first T in TRUST, see attached photo. James Wiles doesn't list any markers, but you can see it in his photo on Variety Vista.

Nice one MrBreese! Serifs are definitely split, and very noticeable on the "T".
