Its been explained above that the phone number listed on the account was answered by the mother. Sounds like the intent of the caller was to speak to the perp himself. Seems like the 41 year old uses Mommy's phone number when committing fraud.

Well Guys as they say

"He who laughs LAST, laughs BEST."
We ain't laughing yet, but OUR battle with MGreen3481 is far from over.
But taking him from one government sponsored home, and putting him in another one, doesn't really constitute a victory in my eyes. Whether we can do that or not, remains to be seen. But I guarantee you, we will never see the coins again, and getting our money back, well - "you can't get blood out of a rock"

Our REAL problem lies with the STUPIDITY OF ebay.

WHEN A CUSTOMER ADMITTEDLY RECEIVED THEIR PRODUCT(S), AND WAS EXTREMELY HAPPY WITH IT/THEM; ebay SHOULD NOT MAKE THE SELLER REFUND THE BUYER, BECAUSE IT WAS DELIVERED WITHOUT TRACKING.

ebay has a place to help us with THEFT, FRAUD, SCAMS, and THREATS, etc. Spoof@ebay.com
I explained to them EXACTLY what MGreen was doing in an email, and suggested where to look, to verify what is happening.
Their reply was a CUT-AND-PASTE - Dear You, YES! that's how they replied! (DEAR YOU!) - we take "Identity Theft Very Seriously And We Will Be Looking Into The Matter!" It was a long report, - all about how to avoid IDENTITY THEFT. They WOULD NOT be replying to me individually but assured me that the matter would be handled professionally!
I replied with a derogatory message to "READ MY EMAIL!".
Reply: We take all issues of identity theft very seriously, and we assure you, that we have been working diligently on your behalf.

As we all know, Covid19 was started with one person, but it has become a pandemic, affecting every person on this planet, and putting many stores "out of business" No one knows who that first person was, but we do know it spread very rapidly, because it wasn't handled very well.
Is this the next pandemic? Is it safe to sell on ebay? Will stores go out of business if this spreads? Will there be other MGreen's using ebay as a conduit to steal from the sellers?

Question - Food for thought: MGreen 'nailed some of the bigger companies in the Canadian coin industry. (My business is tiny compared to them.)
Do you think that maybe they might not have refunded MGreen, if they had their own web-site?
(YES I RECEIVED THE COIN, BUT I"M GOING TO GET A REFUND TOO!)

Do you think that some of those dealers MIGHT start their own web-site and put a little note in their ebay account.
PLEASE VISIT US AT - COINS ARE US - sometimes the prices MAY be lower.
Could they use ebay's customer flow to advertise their own website? Would their prices actually be lower, if they didn't have to pay ebay's sales fees?

Maybe one lesson we have ALL learned from this is: DO NOT SHIP 3 or 4 (MID-PRICED) COINS ORDERED SEPARATELY IN TWO WEEKS. THAT"S A RED FLAG TO ME NOW.

Personally I have lost about 150 dollars, but hey, I've spent more that that on some worthless educational courses in the past.
My problem is- I'm TOO "_____" OLD, to make up the 150. For you younger guys/gals, - think about it this way:
Have you ever spent $150 on a date, and never even got a kiss?
Well personally, I feel after "this date" with MGreen, we got off lucky, that there was no kiss involved.

Roy

The truth is the " clown" gamed the system put in place by ebay .
Everyone who SELLS on ebay knows the deal , the buyer has the
power .
For a seller to protect themselves and their account , it is very simple
put a business model in place where it is tracked shipping only , full stop.
Or conversely , self insure and be prepared to put up with a bunch of
" I did not get its " and be prepared to lose your selling account .
We learned the hard way back in 2013 2014 when we were selling from Vancouver
Island . We got nailed by three lunatics , all Canadian , all Quebec residents .
We were shipping items of less than Fifty Dollars , non tracked on one of our accounts.
By the time all was said and done , we were out about five hundred in inventory .
The worst part was THAT ebay account was suspended for a short period for further
Review by ebay . It took a full year to get it fully reinstated by ebay !
We learned ! NEVER SHIP NON TRACKED ! Another lesson , use your blocked
bidding tool to its fullest .

A rapidly growing collection... He's had nearly 200 feedbacks in the past month, mostly automatic positives, which means maybe 300-400 purchases? He's been very busy practicing his business model!

Hey guys

I apologize for the number of posts, but I think I have actually persuaded ebay to take a look at this forum and I wanted to show them a little sample of what MGreen has been sending to me.
Roy,

Hot off the grill. It looks like a 1935 Canadian Silver Dollar and a1925 penny came in the mail today. Thanks for the free coins loser. I am also sorry I had to shut down you're anti ebay , anti mgreen3481 online support group. I am very ethical and don't support such causes. Anyways thanks for the coins,

Thanks for your understanding,

Matthew

Thar's REALLY STRANGE MATTHEW!

You've already told me that you had them both Matthew, do you not remember?
You told me that you had the '35, before you demanded the refund.
Go back and read your emails, and your feedbacks.
You've got so many scams going on, - you've gotta keep better records, man!
If you got those two coins today, it was DEFINITELY from somebody else that you are scamming.
You gotta start keeping better records of all your scams.
Now you've got to start selling, if you got duplicates!

Roy

This should be enough to get your money back from ebay.

@Gincoin43,

My goal is NOT for "MY money back" Gincoin.

It's was 3 weeks ago, but that has changed, because of ebay's pathetic handling of this.

1/ Everybody knows that MGreen should have been gone -
4 weeks ago - WE TRIED!

2/ Sellers NEED to have equality with the buyers

3/ ALL sellers who have been stolen from in this case after Sept 8th (when many dealers started reporting the scammer)- should be reimbursed
Especially the dealers who have placed complaints and revised their positive feedbacks with negatives
IF MGreen HAS STOLEN FROM YOU; CHANGE THE FEEDBACK!

4/ A system should be in place to be able to reduce a buyer's rating to warn the sellers. I find it deplorable that MGreen3481 still has a 100% untarnished record.

5/ ebay should have to reply to concerns, not ignore them

When 30 sellers have been ripped off buy one thief, possibly its time for ebay to show us that they will protect us, and take action, when this happens again.
And it surely WILL!

We've been thrown under the bus.
It's SO NICE to be appreciated!

ebay has to realize that we can NOT put a $14.00 tracking charge on a $50.00 dollar item and hope to sell it.

If a person has not received an item that the dealer has sent, the dealer 'has to have the right' to warn other dealers of that buyer.

I STILL FIND IT INCOMPREHENSABLE THAT A BUYER CAN 'ERASE' A POSITIVE FEEDBACK - (IF IT IS CHANGED TO A NEGATIVE FEED BACK, FOR THE GOAL OF GETTING A REFUND), EVEN AFTER LEAVING AN EMAIL THAT HE LOVED THE COIN!
WHEN I SAW THAT HE HAD DONE THAT, I HAD IT REVERSED "BUT"
THE POSITIVE FEED BACK WAS GONE.
I WAS ASSURED THAT THERE WAS A REPORT OF THE ACTION AND A REFUND WOULD NOT BE GIVEN!
OH crap IT WAS SHIPPED WITHOUT TRACKING - REFUND GRANTED!

This list grows, with ebay's continuing neglectful snubbing.

After spending 20 minutes writing out a report, I just love getting the reply from ebay: You have already appealed to this case.

Fed-UP,
Roy

i think that ebay gave mgreen a warning, that is why we are seeing all positive feed backs from him, I can't believe after all the complaints, that ebay has done nothing, because I can guarantee he will do this again, once the smoke has cleared .. shame on ebay.. what else can a person do..

ebay will not spend time with mail fraud, that's the main reason ebay requiring sellers ship with postal tracking. A lot of ebay responses are automated, not too much man power is really spend on investigating buyer fraud, when your item is worth certain amount. (Cheaper for eBay/Paypal to refund buyer and seller if tracking shows that it delivered, but never received).
It maybe time for sellers to change how they sell their coins, either sell it as a group to cover the tracking expense, or buyer need to cough up the actual mailing with tracking cost.
