Quote: I'll also add that since the mintages for each of the mint marks are guaranteed to be the same, I imagine that trading one mint mark for another should be pretty easy once we actually get them, for those who wish to collect. It should be but it doesn't always work out that way. Take the reverse proof Presidential dollars. The Truman reverse proof had a mintage of 17k with a household limit of five. The Eisenhower reverse proof also had a mintage of 17k, but with a household limit of two. As a result a good number of people purchasing to the household limits, the Eisenhower was not as widely distributed. The Eisenhower sold for way more in the beginning, but the difference has diminished over time. There's still a significant difference in the selling price between the two. There's also demand to consider. For whatever reason, there seems to have been more demand for the CC Morgan than the O Morgan. I'm thinking the CC Morgan will command a slight premium over time. Quote: I agree with this thinking. I believe the issue this year is the limited number of planchets the mint was able to get. This is the answer according to the mint. I agree that minting to demand within a given period of time would be great.

Quote: @MSL - mintages are blank. The product limit is 175K. Something to keep in mind. Something else to keep in mind: Quote:From CoinNews: Production of the five 2021 Morgan silver dollars will halt at 875,000. No more than 200,000 of the 2021 Peace Silver Dollars will be made. 2021 Morgan and Peace dollar products will stay at the current six — no set combinations or other options will be offered. The United States Mint will allow authorized bulk purchasers to claim up to 10% of the silver dollars before they go on sale to the public. The U.S. Mint also hopes the production of Morgan and Peace dollars will continue into next year and beyond. These tidbits were unveiled May 4 by U.S. Mint Director David J. Ryder and Mint staff during a roundtable discussion with members of the numismatic media to help broaden information available to the public about the dollars.

Well, Foxwoods, the Mint should fill in the mintages on the website if that's the case!

Quote: Anyone want to guess if I got a coin?
I tried getting 2 CC's. I never got to the order confirmation page. I also did not get an email confirming my order. I did get a text message telling me that I was tracking an order. I also have a processing order ending 9409 in my order history at the mint. Finally at one point I got the timeout message but my cart was empty instead of still showing the coins in the cart.
I guess we will see what if anything I end up with. Well after seeing the temporary charge on my credit card I thought I was good. Today it all disappeared. Congrats to those that got one. I'll watch prices in the future but I'm not going to bow down to the ebay gods on this one.

I was at work when the order window opened (and since I don't use the work computer for personal business), I used my iPhone to order. I had logged myself in on the Mint's web site a few minutes before the order window opened. Like many people, I had many problems ordering, including form fields that refused data entry (such as I was trying to change product quantities or even entering the security code from my credit card). I experienced instances of weird scrolling when I was trying to confirm my order (I can't really describe it, but the web site was scrolling when I was trying to check the box that "I agree to the terms, blah, blah, blah"). I somehow managed to get 6 of the "O" Morgans in my bag and I didn't dare try to change that (even though I had planned on ordering two of them) fearing that something would get messed up up. I also planned to order two of the "CC" dollars, but when I tried to order, the web site wouldn't allow me to change the quantity to "2". So, I placed the order as-is. Then, I attempted to submit a second order for the "CC". All the while, I was constantly getting "Bad Gateway" and "Page Not Found" errors. I just kept hitting refresh hoping to get the site to work. Fortunately, it appears that my three orders went through -- this time. I bet I won't be so lucky next time.

The real charge will come through when it ships in October. You should see an order # in your account. Not sure about guest orders.

That is what I'm saying the order on the mint website is gone. I think I missed out.

Um...that's not an apology. Saying they worked to improve the site, there was high volume, customers experienced issues, and they will work to improve the site is not an apology. Apologies start with words like "we are sorry" or "we apologize." I agree that the best way to make it up to customers is to investigate the improper orders and cancel them. However, that is simply not going to happen...because they don't really care.

How do they tell if the order is by a bot or not? There are plenty of folks that ordered 10.

And now gone. Don't know what time they exactly came up. Just randomly refreshing the page. Wasn't at the usual 6:30 time though.

O and CC Privy Morgan came back to pre-order status approximately 748AM ET and I got one of the CC's I missed out on. Thank you people who get their credit cards declined!
For those that got both Morgan products on release date - did you do it all in one order, or did you have two separate orders? I am trying to figure out my approach for next Tuesday.

I cant believe this happened, but I was checking the Mint's website every few minutes for about 30 minutes this morning for the CC privy mark Morgan. I got two of them before they went back into remind me status. They were only available for a minute at the most. I got my we received your order email, and my order confirmed email. Once my order goes from Pending to Back Order on the Mint's website, I will sigh with relief and astonishment.

Logged in, went to product schedule and scrolled down to the Morgans, made a duplicate tab, Clicked one tab for the 'O' and one for the 'CC'. stayed on one tab until the 'add to bag' showed up, clicked it, went on to next tab, refreshed and clicked 'add to bag' Tried to check out 500 times and finally got it all done.
