If I understand correctly, the NFLD $2 establishes a strict relationship between that currency and the English currency of the time, where our cent is roughly equal to their half-penny. I'd never thought of it this way before.... Is the use of 'penny' to describe Canadian currency colloquial in that sense? Report this Post to the Staff
