2020 D Salt River Bay Reverse Error ?

The line through the date looks like a continuation of the border around the artwork. I know there is the nice die scratch from the rim NE of the date but it's what is going on around the date that is very intriguing. Let me know if you think this is a continuation of the circle and what type of error that would be. Report this Post to the Staff

The curved line through the date is damage from the crimping jaws of a Coin Wrapping Machine making contact with the coin as they rotated. It happens to line up with the design of the coin, but it's just Post Strike Damage. ANA ID: 3203813 - CONECA ID: N-5637 Clean a coin that may be worth collecting? Please DON'T! The date would have been marked by the machine as well would it not? Report this Post to the Staff
